Open Positions on the McAuliffe PTSA Board
Position of PTSA Executive Vice-President
The Executive Vice President assists the president with his/her duties. If the president is absent or unable to perform his/her duties, the EVP shall assume those tasks. The responsibilities of the EVP include:
- Assisting vice presidents in finding event chairs and volunteers for their respective programs/events
- Provide oversight for programs, events, and committees including Volunteer Appreciation (VIP Parking, Shining Stars, Volunteer Tea, Golden Acorn), Welcome Back Coffee, LWPTSA Basket Auction, Wear Blue for Kindness, and Teacher Appreciation
- Provide over-sight of the Family and Community Engagement Liaison
- Coordinate Kindergarten Playdate for the Kindergarten parents toward the end of August at the McAuliffe Playground
- Attend monthly LWPTSA Council meetings (can alternate months with the president)
- Attend monthly PTSA board meetings and general membership meetings
- Learn board procedures in preparation for assuming the president position
- Preside over PTSA meetings when president is unavailable
- Maintain volunteer database and help coordinate volunteers as needed
- Fulfill yearly Washington State PTA training requirement
