![]() When you join the McAuliffe PTSA, you become part of the Washington State PTA (WSPTA) and National PTA, nonprofit membership associations that advocate on behalf of all children. Together we are a powerful voice and a relevant resource for families and communities. According to the WSPTA, studies have proven that membership in a PTA provides your child and other children around you with a greater chance of achieving in school. As a member, you are more likely to be an informed, involved parent. Members are not required to volunteer.
Benefits of being a member: As a member of the Christa McAuliffe PTSA, your family will receive a free McAuliffe student directory, which is published and distributed each fall only for our members. Members also have the opportunity to vote on how the PTSA spends the funds it raises. All members are eligible to receive discounts from many nationwide and local businesses through the National PTA and WSPTA (see below for more information). Why Support the PTSA? The PTSA offers programs and events to the McAuliffe community and also provides funding for supplies and programs at our school. Thanks to the outstanding support of our families, PTSA members and the school community, we were able to provide the following financial grants, school events, programs and other contributions during the 2021-22 school year. Students benefit both academically and socially from these accomplishments, all of which were made possible by our members’ financial and volunteer support!

Memberships are annual from July 1st to June 30th and must be renewed each year. Please note that if you purchase a membership in May or June, it will expire before the 2023-24 school year begins. General Membership MeetingsThree times (or more!) per school year, the PTSA holds meetings to which its general membership is invited.
