Challenger Chase Fun Run

Challenger Chase Fun Run

Picture
The Fun Run is our school's largest fundraiser and, for all intents and purposes, our only "active" fundraiser where we ask students to actively seek and solicit flat donations from family, friends, and community members to support our school.

The Fun Run has become a McAuliffe tradition, bringing our entire school community together for fun, fitness, and fundraising.  Every McAuliffe student joins in on the fun!  Students, and staff all take part in running laps around the play field at the back of the school and they receive a commemorative Fun Run t-shirt to wear during the eventWhat do they get for all this hard work? Prizes are given away at our Fun Run Prize Assembly, where Principal Howden reveals the final amount raised. The excitement at the assembly is explosive!!

100 PERCENT of everything  goes directly to our kids, teachers, and school through the McAuliffe PTSA as well as providing for the operating costs of the PTSA..

So how much have we raised over the years?
  • 2022-$91,515
  • 2021-$76,460
  • 2020-$75,843
  • 2019- $90,001
  • 2018- $76,586
  • 2017- $69,490
  • 2016- $72,924
  • 2015- $64,143
  • 2014- $56,000
  • 2013- $49,022
  • 2012- $52,000
  • 2011- $30,655

We are so grateful to our students, parents, families, friends and sponsors who so generously donate their time, services and funds to support the PTSA and its programs.

So what does the PTSA do with all this money?

Donations

The McAuliffe PTSA provides financial grants, school events, programs and other contributions to our school.  Students benefit both academically and socially from PTSA achievements, all of which were made possible by the financial and volunteer support of McAuliffe families!  Where does all the time and money spent by the PTSA go?

Employee matching helps our fundraising efforts immensely! Many companies in our surrounding area match employee funds dollar to dollar. These companies include:
  • Apple
  • Boeing
  • Costco
  • Evergreen Home Loans
  • Expedia
  • Google
  • Hewlett -Packard
  • Microsoft
  • Nintendo
  • Symetra
  • Tableau
  • VM Ware
  • Verizon
  • UBS
There are many more! Some employers allow matching dollar requests to be submitted online through the company website or through matching fund paper forms. Check with your Giving Program/Matching Donation website or HR Department for details.
