Open Positions on the McAuliffe PTSA Board
Position of PTSA Nominating Committee
The Nominating Committee is responsible for recruiting the most qualified people to serve on the PTSA board the following year. Members of the committee should have a broad social network at McAuliffe and be highly regarded in the school community. Specific duties of the nominating committee include:
- Attend Washington State PTA Nominating Committee training
- Build and maintain a nominating committee notebook
- Meet with the president to receive the WSPTSA Nominating Committee Guide; the president may not be involved in the committee process or selection of officers
- Establish deadlines based on when the spring general membership meeting will be held; Officers must be elected by April 30th
- Ask for recommendations from board members and the general membership
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
- Compile a report of the nominees and send to the board of directors by March 29th
