What is the Noetic Learning Math Contest?
The Noetic Learning Math Contest is a semiannual national individual problem-solving contest for elementary and middle school students. The contest is designed with the idea that problem-solving helps students to become better mathematicians, better thinkers, and more equipped for advanced STEM learning and research. The goal of Noetic contest is to develop students' problem-solving skills, to encourage their interest in math, and to inspire them to excel in math. AMC 8
What is the AMC 8?
The AMC 8 is a 40-minute, 25-question multiple choice examination. The material is designed for students in grades 6, 7, and 8. Lower grade students are allowed to participate. As parents you can decide whether this competition suits your child or not. Each child is different and some may already have been ahead of their grade level. Math Is Cool
What is Math Is Cool?
Math is Cool is a math competition for grades 4-12 located in the state of Washington. The competition is hosted by Academics is Cool. Participants will be invited to go to the Math is Cool Masters if they score top 4 in their school and if their school wins top 8 in their division. Math Is Cool is both a team and an individual competition. Each team consists of 4 students. All teams participate in the team competitions, and all students including those who are not on a team participate in the individual competitions.

The math level is for 4th and 5th graders, but lower grade students are allowed to participate. Every team needs one parent to act as team coach and point of contact. Championships Registration Process Each school is allowed to bring 8 teams (with 4 students each team in maximum), and 8 individuals for each grade. From last year’s feedback, PTSA has decided to give grade 4 and grade 5 students preference in the registration of the competition of their grades. The following process will be used.

Masters Registration Process If invited, each school will send one team of 4 students (no individuals) for each grade. We will choose the top 4 students in Championships’ individual tests regardless of their actual grades at McAuliffe. Once we receive the invitation in Apr, we will immediately notify top scorers to form one team each grade. If one of the top scorers declines or does not respond, the chance is given to the next student. Fees Student families cover the registration fee ($60 per team, or $15 each individual). What is Math Kangaroo?
Math Kangaroo is an international mathematical competition for students in grades 1 through 12. The competition consists of a single round that is taken on the same date (third Thursday of March) at a registered center. This year’s competition date is Mar 21, 2024. The test is 75 minutes long and consists of a series of multiple choice questions.
