We’re excited to share that we’ve invited local chess masters (FIDE, International and National) to teach our grades K-5 students, with classes available at three levels: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. You’ll find all the details in the flyer.

Class is contingent on a parent chaperone volunteer. Parent chaperones must be a McAuliffe PTSA Member and LWSD background checked registered volunteer. Please contact Chris Robinson ([email protected]) if you have any questions about your LWSD volunteer approval status.

*All registered students will need to fill out the emergency contact and participant permission form to be able to participate in the chess classes. Parents of registered students will receive the form via email.
- Beginner Class - Wednesday 8:10 am - 9:10 am, January 14 – April 22 (no class on Jan 28, Feb 11, and Apr 15), 12 classes
- Intermediate Class- Wednesday 8:10 am - 9:10 am, January 14 – April 22 (no class on Jan 28, Feb 11, and Apr 15), 12 classes
- Advanced Class - Thursday 8:10 am - 9:10 am, January 15 – April 23 (no class on Jan 29, Feb 12, and Apr 16), 12 classes
- Free Quad Game Session - Tuesday 8:10 am - 9:10 am, January 13 – April 21 (no game on Jan 27, Feb 10, and Apr 14)
