Lake Washington School District is hosting or helping with a number of terrific Parent Education events over the next few months. Grab a friend or make it a date night for interesting and educational topics to power your parenting!
Brown Bag Lunch - Start Early, Stay Local: College Options for Grads and near-Grads, Thursday, April 20, 12:00-1:00 pm, LWRC, Board Room. Check out the the flyer.
Parent Education: Substances 101 - Alcohol, Drugs & Marijuana.

Thursday, April 20, 7:00-8:30 pm, Redmond High School theater.
Thirty-nine percent of 12th graders say their parents have not discussed the dangers of alcohol with them. Forty-nine percent of 12 graders say their parents have not discussed the dangers of marijuana use. The founder of Parent Tool School will present the latest alcohol and drug trends, followed by pointers on how to create family policies. You'll leave empowered with the information and tools you'll need to have powerful conversations with your teen. This event is free, and open to all Lake Washington families and staff. Parents, care givers, families and educators are invited to come and meet vendors offering after school, summer, and other recreational activities or services to children with special needs and their families. Children welcome. Questions? Email special.needs@lwptsa.net
