Lake Washington School District PTSA Special Needs Group Meeting will be on Tuesday, February 28th from 7 – 9 pm. You are welcome to arrive at 6:30 PM to network with other parents and/or to look
at our Lending Library cart. The meeting will be held at LWSD Resource Building 16250 NE 74th St, Redmond 98052 ( Redmond Town Center ) and the subject matter that will be covered will be: Social Skills and Anti-bullying Techniques presented by Ben Wahl, MSW.

Ms Awareness Week is just around the corner. Below is a list of upcoming special events to bring awareness to MS as well as raise funds for the cause.
Fundraising: Coin Drive Before School: Monday, March 12: bring pennies; Tuesday March 13: bring nickels;
Wednesday, March 14th: bring dimes and Thursday, March 15th: bring quarters.
Guess How Many is in the Jar: .50 cents a guess - person closest wins the jar and EVERYTHING in it (this
will run Monday March 12 through Wednesday March 14 before/after school)
Popcorn Sales: Wednesday, March 14th at lunch recesses
**ALL proceeds from these fundraisers go to support the MS Society
Education: Tracey Miller and Michelle Silbernagel will visit classrooms to educate students/teachers about MS. (Monday, March 12th and Tuesday, March13th)
Exercise: Walk with Tracey Miller, Michelle Silbernagel and Principal Howden at lunch recess (special guest at first walk)

The Foundation is holding its annual A Legacy for Learning luncheon on Wednesday, May 23, 2012. This year newly remodeled Lake Washington High School is graciously hosting the event. Volunteers make this event happen. Be a part of a great community event that brings Kirkland, Redmond, and Sammamish together to benefit the nearly 25,000 students in the District and email luncheon@lwsf.org to volunteer.
