"Together We Can" is the Reflections theme this year. Your children have an opportunity to decide what this phrase means to them through their own original works. They can choreograph and dance, create a film /video, write a piece of poetry or a story, compose a piece of music, take a photograph, and paint or draw its meaning to them. All participants will be required to follow the rules and guidelines for each category and complete an entry form and consent form along with their piece of art and submit their finished entries into the main office at school on or before October 19, 2010.
General participation rules and entry forms along with rule sheets for each category are available on the bulletin board outside the main office at school. This information is also available on the reflections@wastatepta.org website or by going through Mcauliffe PTSA website. All participants will receive recognition for their efforts and all artwork will be displayed for the Art Walk being held on November 4, 2010 at school. McAuliffe Special Needs Support Group
If you are a parent of a child with special needs and are looking to connect with other parents we invite you to join the McAuliffe Special Needs Parent Support Group. The mission of this group is to provide a place for parents to voice experiences and challenges in a support setting. We collectively work towards finding answers to questions regarding the special education process. We share resource ideas and other topics of interest relating to children with special needs.
