Job Description:
- Provide overall organization and guidance for Board
- Schedule, prepare agendas and preside over monthly Board meetings and general membership meetings
- Represent McAUliffe at PTSA Council, regional and state meetings
- Meet with school principal monthly
- Communicate and coordinate with principal/teacher/staff/parents on PTSA's behalf
- Oversee administration areas, correspondence and organization files in accordnace with the McAuliffe PTSA Standing Rules
- Appoint and train committee chairs
- Be an ex-officio member of all committees except nominating committee
- Send to the WSPTA office the names and addresses of the newly elected officers for the upcoming year no later than May 1
- Estimated weekly time requirements: Approximately 20 - 40 hours per week (about half if Co-President) depending on the activities
