Our goal is to have one parent advocate for every child at McAuliffe... As a McAuliffe PTSA member, you help identify the needs and develop solutions that advocate for all children at McAuliffe and carry a voice to the state, and national levels. Some of the Services and Activities sponsored by the McAuliffe PTSA: · Social opportunities including an Ice Cream Social and Skate King nights · Community activities which include a Holiday Outreach Program and the Used Book Rodeo · Promotes Health and Safety with Vision and Hearing testing · Provides goods and services including Student Photos and Yearbooks · Offers Educational and Cultural enrichment with a Science Fair, Reflections and Art Start PTSA Raises Funds to Support: · Cultural and Academic assemblies and programs · Campus improvements · Classroom curriculum funds for books and materials · Grants to subsidize field trips · Accelerated Reader and general literacy materials · Sunshine Fund Membership Benefits: · A Student Directory is distributed to each membership (one per family). A valuable resource for every household throughout the year. · Support for an organization that lobbies for the benefit of education and our children. · Membership supports McAuliffe's PTSA and allows a vote in the local unit, council, state and national PTA. PTSA MEMBERSHIP FORM January 2008 PTSA General Membership Meeting Christa McAuliffe PTSA is a private, non-profit association whose goal is to support and serve the children of McAuliffe Elementary and promote the health, safety, education and enrichment of these and all children. McAuliffe's PTSA unit number is 2.8.36, a non-profit 501c(3) corporation which is an affiliated unit of Washington State and National PTA.
